Mountain Bike Time Trial
Hi.... I am organising another mountain bike time trial up at Hicks Lodge on Wednesday 10th October. Slightly different from last time in the fact that ALL entries will include a Curry or Chilli and a Brew after the event and lights will obviously be a wise option! As its midweek and dark, i decided not to do the kids event this time, so there are no age restrictions upwards or downwards, although common sense comes into play with young uns!! Parental Consent is required FOR ALL UNDER 18's.
As you can see
below from the description placed on British Cyclings events page, i have stipulated some local knowledge so that we dont have to have marshalls standing on their own in the dark!! Here are the ride details.....
1 X lap of Hicks Lodge Blue Course, at 4.7 miles. Hard pack surface and not too technical. Suitable for most weather conditions. Local knowledge advisable as well as lights as it will be dark and probably no marshalls!! The price includes entry to the TT and either a curry or chilli (TBC) and a brew. Car parking available on site as pay and display (£1 per hour) Although this event is a race against the clock, it is aimed at being a fun event and not to be taken TOO seriously! Race numbers will be exchanged for food at the end. Riders will need to sign on inside the main building (cafe area), prior to starting and be ready to roll with the 1st rider aiming at starting around 7-715pm Destination is.... Willesley Woodside Moira Ashby de la Zouch Leicestershire LE65 2UP The Cafe does great home made cakes which are worth a visit on their own!
Entry is £8-00 inc food/brew and any BC costs
No prizes....Just PRIDE and a FREE meal and brew to the winner!
Anyone needs any further info, bell me, tx me FB me or...heaven forbid....speak to me!!
If you do not fancy riding but want to take part I am still looking for a few volunteers to help me out please!!! I need a few marshalls, someone to sign riders in and someone to help with the timing!! Any takers will get a FREE chilli/curry! Thanks Nick
